Goals from Tinotende Murarasiranwa and Leslie Kashitigu led Madamburo to victory and secured their position at the top of the league table with 17 points, one point above Highlanders and Caps United.
Ngezi coach Takesure Chiragwi attributed the team's success to their long-standing chemistry and cohesion.
Prior to today's games, Bulawayo Chiefs, Highlanders, and Caps United were tied on 15 points, separated only by goal difference. However, Highlanders drew 0-0 with Simba Bola, and Caps United also drew 0-0 with Hwange at the National Sports Stadium.
Highlanders are currently in second place with 16 points, while Caps United are in third place.

In another match played today, Triangle and Yadah drew 0-0, while the match between ZPC Kariba and Black Rhinos will be played tomorrow due to the lack of stadiums in Harare.
Although Black Rhinos are currently at the bottom of the table with only five points, their coach, Chaminuka, has assured supporters of better days ahead. He recently replaced Stanford Stix Mtizwa, who has become the technical director.
